National Academy of Petroleum & Explosives Safety (NAPES) has been recognized as a training institute of PESO for imparting training time to time to PESO officers and stakeholders on safety being observed while administrating various rules framed under Explosives Act, 1884 and Petroleum Act, 1934. It is recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Government of India, New Delhi on 13th June, 2017. It functions under the overall guidance and control of the Chief Controller of Explosives, Nagpur. Location of academy in Nagpur best suited as Nagpur is hub of commercial explosives manufacturing units and had best connectivity from all over India.
