• To conduct training in connection with administration and enforcement of Explosives Act 1884, Petroleum Act 1934 and Rules framed there under.
• To improve the efficiency in carrying out inspections of MAH premises under Explosives Act 1884, Petroleum Act 1934 and Rules framed there under and Manufacture Storage and import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989.
• Planning, designing and conducting the induction/foundational training for the officers of PESO and stakeholders from Explosives, Fireworks, Petroleum, Gas Cylinder, Pressure Vessels and related sectors etc.
• Planning, designing and conducting training on Explosives, Fireworks, Petroleum, Gas Cylinder, Pressure Vessels and Flame Proof Fittings etc.
• Coordination with various National and International Academy's / Institutions.
• To conduct training for issuance of Gas free test certificates being issued by PESO officers under Petroleum Rules 2002 in respect of Petroleum/Non Petroleum bulk marine vessels.
• To conduct training on technical investigation of fire/explosion accidents involving in petroleum, explosives, gas cylinders, pressure vessels licensed premises including approved premises and report thereon under Explosives Act 1884, Petroleum Act 1934 and Rules framed there under.
• To conduct training on Natural Gas, LPG and Oil Pipelines installation of facilities in Ports /cross country pipelines and inspection under MSIHC Rules 1989.
• To conduct training on Role and Responsibility of PESO in District Crises Groups and National crisis group for Disaster Management.
• Organizing training for competent persons/TPIA under SMPV Rules (U) 2016, Petroleum Rules, 2002, Explosives Rules, 2008 and Foreman in Fireworks industries under Explosives Rules, 2008.
• Arranging in plant training to newly inducted PESO officers to various major hazardous factories, Jetty/Port/SPM Terminals, Refineries, LNG terminals, Explosives Manufacturing Units, Fireworks Manufacturing Units, Cryogenic Vessel Fabrication Units, High Pressure/Low Pressure Cylinder Manufacturing Units, FLP Manufacturing Units, LPG Bottling Plants, Oil Terminals/Depots, Petroleum/Pressure Vessel Safety Fittings Manufacturing units, Toxic Gas Bottling Plants, ATF Terminals.
• Procedure and demonstration towards destruction of unserviceable/Police exhibits of commercial Explosives & Fireworks.
